Uniform Deployed Parents Custody & Visitation Act

The Uniform Deployed Parents Custody & Visitation Act (UDPCVA) protects military parents from losing custody or contact with a child while deployed.

Paternity & the Military

The military will not adjudicate paternity claims, but some benefits may be available if the member voluntarily executes an acknowledgment of paternity.
